St Aidan’s
Tennis Programs

Join us at Ambiwerra Tennis Centre on the St Aidan’s sports grounds. Whether she’s a junior picking up a racquet for the first time or a senior student fine-tuning her technique, there’s a program to suit — and parents aren’t left out either.
Find The Right Program
Our Play n Learn programs follow Tennis Australia’s Hot Shots pathway — the only modified program endorsed by Tennis Australia. Low-compression balls, lighter racquets, smaller courts and lower nets mean kids of all abilities can have fun and progress quickly, from first lesson through to our Academy programs.
Red Ball Stage 1
Ages 5–7For new players picking up a racquet for the first time. Fun, game-based lessons that introduce tennis skills, basic strategy and rallying.
Red Ball Stage 2
Ages 7–10The next step from Stage 1, for players who know the fundamentals and can rally. We expect players to have completed around 20 lessons (2 terms) in Stage 1, unless they’re younger.
Orange Ball Squad
Ages 8–11For younger players getting serious about tennis and starting to play fixtures or tournaments — our entry point to the Pro Tennis Academy. 1.25-hour sessions plus 15 minutes of game and skill work, in a fun, friendly environment.
Total Tennis · Senior School
Ages 11–15Our Play n Learn program for older juniors — whether she’s new to tennis, playing school tennis, or wants to improve her skills and have fun. Players are active for the whole time they’re on court.
An Official
National Talent Hub
LifeTime Tennis is one of only four National Talent Hubs in Queensland. Tennis Australia’s National Talent Hubs support players aged 7–11 on the player development pathway, with comprehensive, tailored programs that help young players reach their potential — a clear pathway from early promise to elite performance, right here at Ambiwerra.
